Sandhurst Under 11a's Crowned Premiers

Sandhurst's Under 11 A division side have been crowned premiers this weekend at Garden Gully Reserve after a tense 4 run victory over Bendigo in the Grand Final. After a narrow lead at the end of the first days play, Sandhurst hung on in a tense final over to secure victory. It was an even contribution from all the boys with Alex Caldow 18, Rhys Attard 16no the top scorers with the bat and Oscar Perez picking up two wickets with the ball.
Final scores Sandhurst 9/132 defeated Bendigo 8/128.
The win caps off a spectacular season for the boys, in which they lost only one game, and comes just a week after a tense semi final victory over Bendigo United with the winning runs scored in the 2nd last over of the match.
A big congratulations to all the boys and a big thank-you to coach Luke Attard and Mark Keck, and to all the parents and supporters who helped out throughout the year.
A reminder the Junior Presentation Night will be held Next Wednesday March 31st from 4.30pm at the QEO.
