On the back of standout bowling and fielding displays and some standout batting efforts Sandhurst claimed victory in both the Ron Slattery Memorial 20-20 match and the Sandhurst-Weeroona / Bendigo-Girton Challenge.
In the evening's main event, Sandhurst restricted Bendigo to 95 all out in 20 overs with Matt Pask 2/6 Tim Robertson 2/12 and Justin Hancock's 2/18 the standouts of a fine bowling and fielding display. In reply Sandhurst cruised to victory by 8 wickets with 5 overs remaining thanks to a 51 run opening stand between Brett Polson (36) and Travis Crouch (30) before Nick Scullie steered the Dragons home with an unbeaten 29.

The win sees Sandhurst tie the ledger at 3 matches each in the annual contest.
In the curtain raiser, A devastating spell of 3/11 from skipper Elias Bowe helped restrict Bendigo to 7/94 after Bendigo won the toss and batted. After a solid start courtesty of David Blume's 45, Sandhurst appeared headed for Victory until a late order collapse sent a scare through the Dragons camp. It was left for Tim Mcglone 4no and Ash Patterson 1no to get Sandhurst home 8/95 in the final over.

Sandhurst's next fixture is at the QEO in seven days time (Tuesday 5th January) at the QEO against Strathdale Martistians in the BDCA round robin series.
