Sandhurst Climb Into Top 4

Sandhurst has secured a pulsating victory by 3 wickets with 2 overs remaining at Dower Park to find themselves in the four on percentage at the Christmas break. Led by an opening stand of 133 from Brett Polson (82) and Nick Scullie (75) set up the run chase before an unbeaten 8th wicket stand of 42 between Matt Pask (35no) and Andy Sheehan (17no) saw Sandhurst finish 7/253 home with 2 overs to spare in response to Kangaroo Flat's 243 all out. 

In the Seconds, Sandhurst's top order again let them down and were dismissed for 131 in 75 overs. Kangaroo Flat were dismissed for 190 in reply with Alex Trump claiming 5/60 from 27 overs. The loss sees Sandhurst sitting eighth at Christmas. 

On the back of four wickets to Dave Hunter and some lusty hitting from Dean Trew (38no) and Leigh Draper (37no) Sandhurst 2/81 declared defeated Kangaroo Flat 79 all out from the final delivery of day one's play. Kangaroo Flat managed 5/121 declared in their 2nd innings and Sandhurst finished 4/74 chasing an improbable 120 to win from 11 overs with Leigh Draper (48no). The win leaves Sandhurst second on the ladder with six rounds remaining.
