SANDHURST MOURNS PASSING OF A LEGEND

Sandhurst Cricket Club players & officials, past and present are all saddened by the passing of Club Legend Ray "Gerry" Johns after a battle with illness. Gerry was involved as a player captain and coach with five clubs in the BDCA spanning over forty years including over 15 years with the Dragons.

Everyone at Sandhurst who had any involvement with Gerry valued him as a team mate, mentor,  teacher and friend. Gerry's final on-field involvement for the Dragons was as part of the side's premiership winning 3rd XI side in season 2001/2002.

Gerry's on field performances over the span of his career as highlighted by President Morrie Hesse's eulogy at todays service were a result of his talent, determination and competitiveness as a cricketer.

The Club and it's members extend their condolences to Denise & Family.
