INTERNATIONAL JUNIOR CRICKET IN BENDIGO
A junior representative team from Singapore played against a combined Sandhurst Weeroona CC and Weeroona College team on Tuesday 28 November 2006 as part of our Building Stronger Links program with the College.
The match was played on the Queen Elizabeth Oval, Bendigo as a 40 over one-day game. This is a great opportunity for some of our juniors to play on turf and on Bendigo’s premier cricket facility.
The ages of the Singapore team members ranged from 12 to 15 years. We field a combined team of similar ages. Singapore won the match on the second last ball of the day.
Thanks to those families who billeted the Singapore boys and accompanying adults. Special thanks to Champions Supa IGA who sponsored the day by providing the lunch and drinks for after match.
